A standard dryer vent cleaning with AZ Dryer Pros is $79. That covers a typical wall vent: the full run cleaned from the dryer to the outside hood, with the airflow measured before and after. Roof vents, badly packed runs and broken parts cost more, and you get the exact price and the reason before any of that work starts. If you say no, you pay only the $79.
Why people are wary of low prices
A common complaint about home services is the low advertised price that turns into a much bigger bill once someone is in the house. We'd rather be clear up front. The $79 is a real price for a real cleaning, and most vents are a standard cleaning.
When a job is bigger than standard, you see why before anything happens: an airflow reading, a photo of what's in the duct or a look at a crushed hose. Then you decide.
What the $79 cleaning includes
For a standard wall vent, the visit covers:
- An airflow reading at the outside vent before we start
- The dryer pulled out and the hose disconnected
- Lint cleared from the hose and around the dryer connection
- The full run brushed and vacuumed to the outside hood
- The outside hood and flap cleared so they open freely
- The dryer reconnected, run and the airflow measured again
- Before-and-after photos
What costs more, and why
These are the prices that apply when the job is bigger than a standard cleaning. Each one is a starting price; the technician gives you the exact number on site.
- Heavy clog or long run: from $129. Packed runs and long runs take more time to clear.
- Roof or second-floor vent: from $199. The run is cleaned from the roof cap or with ladder work, which takes more time and care.
- Transition hose replacement: from $149. For a crushed, torn, foil or plastic hose behind the dryer.
- Repair: from $299. For a crushed, split or disconnected duct inside a wall, ceiling or attic.
- Cap, hood or bird guard: from $149. For a broken flap, a missing cover or birds nesting in the hood.
- Rerouting or a new vent: from $399. When the run is too long or badly routed to work well.
- Booster fan: priced on site, because it depends on the run and where the fan can go.
How the price conversation works
The technician measures first and explains what they found. If the vent is a standard cleaning, it's $79 and the work starts. If something more is needed, you get the exact price before any work beyond the $79 cleaning.
You can say yes to all of it, some of it or none of it. If you say no to the extra work, we do the $79 cleaning and you pay $79. Nothing extra happens without your OK.
If you want time to think it over, that's fine too. The photos and the price stay the same if you call back later. Some people want to check with a spouse, a landlord or an HOA first, and we'd rather you do that than feel rushed into a decision on the doorstep.
How to keep the cost down
Clean the lint screen every load. Don't push the dryer tight against the wall, which crushes the hose. After a dust storm, check that the outside flap still opens when the dryer runs. A vent cleaned every year rarely turns into a heavy-clog job.
